UCP TAAKRA is Pakistan's biggest multi-category event by University of Central Punjab: competitions across tech, sports, arts, business and more, plus evening socials like concerts, qawwali and mushaira.
Every competition has its own cash prizes, shown on its event page. On top of those, TAAKRA awards Best Delegation Rs 150,000, Runner-up Delegation Rs 100,000, Best Campus Ambassador Rs 35,000.
An institute that registers for more than nine categories is eligible for the Team Trophy. Participants who register individually, rather than through their institute's delegation, don't earn points toward it.
UCP TAAKRA runs Wed 3 Feb – Sun 7 Feb at University of Central Punjab, 1 Khayaban-e-Jinnah Road, Johar Town, Lahore. The schedule shows what happens on each day.
You can sign up on your own as an individual, as a current UCP student, or join a delegation led by your campus ambassador. Every participant needs a valid CNIC.
Press Register, choose Private participant, UCP student or Campus ambassador, accept the terms and create your account with your details, CNIC and a photo. Then, from the portal, add your teammates as participants and register for events.
Sign up as a UCP student if you're currently enrolled at the University of Central Punjab: you'll need your registration number, and everyone you add must be a UCP student too. Sign up as an individual if you're entering yourself or a few friends from anywhere else. Sign up as an ambassador if you're bringing a delegation from your institute. Individual and UCP student accounts work right away; ambassador accounts are reviewed by the TAAKRA team first.
In the portal, open Registrations and press +. Pick the event, tick the members from your participants (the event's minimum and maximum team size is shown) and give the team a name if you like. There's no need to build teams beforehand.
No. Events marked for men or women, such as Cricket (Male) or Qirat Female, only accept participants of that gender. Set each participant's gender on their profile; people without one can't be entered in these events.
No. Each person can be in one team per event. They can still enter as many different events as they like.
Full name as on the CNIC, email, a Pakistani mobile number, CNIC, city and a clear photo. Each CNIC can only be registered once on TAAKRA.
Photos are checked automatically. Use a clear, front-facing photo of only that person, like a passport photo, in good light. Cartoons, avatars, group shots, heavy filters and blurry photos are turned away.
Yes, while it's pending and unpaid: open Registrations and press the cancel button on that entry, and its fee comes off your invoice. Once an entry is paid or its payment is being verified, email taakra@ucp.edu.pk.
Each team needs one head delegate who is responsible for complete and accurate participant information. Once registered, participants can't be swapped for others. Make sure everyone meets each competition's eligibility rules: false information or misrepresented identity leads to disqualification and possible penalties for the institute.
The Registration team's director and deputy director list their numbers on the Core team page. You can also call Mr. Shumail Khan, Director TAAKRA, Department of Student Affairs, on +92 321 6222897 (landline 042-35880007 Ext 148/361), or email taakra@ucp.edu.pk.
Fees are per person, per event. Some events set their own fee; the rest use the current registration window's fee: Early Bird (1 Nov 2026 – 15 Dec 2026): Rs 1,500; Regular (16 Dec 2026 – 5 Jan 2027): Rs 2,500; Late (6 Jan 2027 – 15 Jan 2027): Rs 3,500. You'll see the exact amount before you register, and it's added to your invoice.
Open Invoices in the portal and press Pay now. Transfer the amount to the UCP account shown, using your invoice number as the reference, then submit your transaction details and a screenshot or photo of the receipt. Teams can also pay through a bank draft to the same account. A team's registration is confirmed only once its fee is received.
After you submit it, the invoice shows Verifying. Once the team confirms the money has arrived, it moves to your Paid invoices and your entries are marked paid. If something doesn't match, you'll see the reason on the invoice and can pay or resubmit.
Your paid invoice stays as it is and new charges start a fresh active invoice. You can pay it the same way.
Yes. In the portal, open Accommodation and switch it on for each person who needs a place to stay (and pick their nights if the rate is per night). The rate is shown on the page and the charge is added to your invoice when you save. For accommodation questions, call the Accommodations team: their numbers are on the Core team page.
Choose Campus ambassador when you register and enter the institute you represent. The TAAKRA team reviews your application; once approved, you can add your institute's participants and register them for events.
Applications are reviewed by the TAAKRA team. You can sign in and see your status on the portal overview. If it's taking long, email taakra@ucp.edu.pk.
The schedule page lists every competition, ceremony, break and social day by day. Each event page also shows its own timing and venue.
Each event page shows its event head and contact number. For anything else, call Mr. Shumail Khan, Director TAAKRA, Department of Student Affairs, on +92 321 6222897 (landline 042-35880007 Ext 148/361), or email taakra@ucp.edu.pk.
Carry your institute ID card and CNIC at all times and dress appropriately. Report at least 30 minutes before your competition. Attending the opening and closing ceremonies is mandatory unless you have permission to miss them. UCP is a smoke-free campus, so smoking and vaping aren't allowed.
Competitions with six or fewer participants won't be held. Schedules can change, and participants are told when they do. If you can't make a competition because of an emergency, tell the management; skipping without a valid reason isn't allowed.
Phones and other devices aren't allowed during competitions unless the coordinators say so, and recording or photography needs approval. Cheating, plagiarism or misconduct leads to disqualification. Stay in the event areas, follow coordinators and staff, and keep food and drinks out of competition halls unless they're provided. The judges' decisions, and UCP management's decisions in all matters, are final.
Winners, runners-up and second runners-up are announced to the teams directly. Your entry shows a badge with the prize name in the portal under Registrations.
